I always wonder why they don’t compare video game body diversity to “sport” body diversity in real life... because very often, if not usually, the character we’re taking over in video games are in a context where physical fitness (if not attractiveness) is a very relevant factor. I mean... if you turn on most any…
A jet ski is fun for a little while. They get semi boring and tiring after a while.
Truly, Cruise Ships are the Assholes of the Sea.
They did to some extent, but they did revise their launch plan by eliminating a few intermediate test flights before testing the whole assembly. This was advised against by Von Braun, but they were being aggressive to make sure they stayed ahead of the Russians. I think it was after seeing satellite photos of the N1…
The close up pictures clearly show no rocket standing on the pad. Some people are simply mistaking the launch tower for the vehicle since they’re a similar height. And no scenario where a rocket explodes is a good one. Even a ground equipment failure resulting in an explosion is a really big deal and will actually be…
I support educating the ignorant. But if they remain ignorant by choice, then yeah, fuck ‘em.
It really is a miracle. It’s a miracle the Saturn V worked first try too. Von Braun couldn’t believe it.
Before you climb down off the high horse, maybe read about the Apollo program where 3 guys died in a pad test. Different fuck up, but dead none the less. Then read people like Chris Craft, who ran the damn program, who said that we only barely got to the moon and we did it with accepting levels of risk that would…
Wow....you have...no idea what you’re talking about.
o rly? How many fatalities has SpaceX caused? Are you aware of NASA’s launch success statistics? They’re good, but they’re certainly not what you claim.
Wut.
Still cheaper and safer than the space shuttle.
By my understanding, no it is not. It just happens to coincide with the announcement that they would be reusing a rocket. The 2nd use Falcon 9 will be going up in “Q4 2016", sending up the SES-10 satellite. I don’t believe a sold date has been announced as of yet.
The reused one isn’t supposed to launch for months, so I doubt it.
Actually, the design of the doors are similar to those desk lamps with springs. They have opposing springs that offset the weight of the door. The motors only work hard enough to move the door but with much less force than you would imagine.
Did you spend your childhood in a protective bubble? Getting your hands/arms caught in car doors is kind of a quintessential childhood experience, right up there with touching a hot stove and sticking coins into electric outlets.
It’s not free, it’s paid for by all of us behind the curtain of insurance- and since our taxes pay for insurance for others, we are literally spending our tax dollars to make these companies rich.
