you asked for a truck that was cumbersome and costly to manufacture

it does have a particular niche that it fits VERY nicely into.

First Gear: This has been obvious for years. Elon would rather be running Space-X or working on random engineering projects between the two. I feel like Tesla would do a lot better if Elon stepped down as CEO and let someone else come in.

This was a great story to read with my morning coffee. Thank you for sharing, I admire you passion and impact you’ve had on our community :)

THIS IS SO ADORABLE

This would be an all time great had Toyota just shoved a 6MT in there. BMW makes this same exact car with a stick, blows my mind Toyota doesn’t do it.

Hell, it doesn’t even need to be with the I6. Would be find with a 6MT + i4 Supra, plenty powerful.

is where my issue with most grid girls rests: we’ve gone back to stripping those women of names or personalities, which turns them back into objects or marketing tools, not career women who market products.

The engine literally makes ZERO noise though. Radio and AC off and the most you’ll get is a mild hum as it works its way to redline. Especially weird since most of the other vehicles in this segment are NA 4-cyls that you have to rev the piss out of to get power. The CX-5 with the 2.5L (ironically also a Ford engine)

I’m super confused at your 2.0T review. I have loved that motor in everything it’s in. Turns the ho-hum Escape into a hot hatch on stilts (ok, that’s generous. But it’s a spunky motor!)

You can find this generation Ranger with the V6 for $4-6k all day long. Just because the market is hot doesn’t make this a good deal.

I see older fleet spec F-150s for sale all the time around the $5k mark. Higher in miles but not hard to find one that was well kept. Don’t really see the appeal of this Ranger at $6500 tbh.

At $6500 I’d rather just get a loan on a new Maverick. Will probably end up being cheaper over the course of ownership with reduced running costs.

CP.

Yep — cars need to be cast in the same way humans do.

Bronco, Mav, and Lightning are putting me in a weird spot.

Only thing more annoying than people complaining about markups is people going WeLL AcUALLY, It’s ThE FrEe mArKeT aT WoRK

I cannot keep up with Caddy names anymore. Wasn’t Blackwing supposed to be the “real” V model? Why does this rock a V6?

Hard pass at $60k.

Getting crazy S2000 vibes

F20C was overrated anyway (former ap1 owner). Give me the Type-R motor in a 2 door convertible body, would be a happy camper. You’re more optimistic than I am though, I don’t think it’s happening.

Yeah well it’s like $80k so meh.

jalopnik is r/cars I guess?
