As someone who just bought an under-$10k car, there’s a LOT of junk out there. I’m a huge car nut and know how to buy a car and get it pre-inspected, etc etc. I still had to fork over $1.5k in repairs in the first two months (Honda product with under 100k miles!)

Dude a loaded soft top Miata is over 400 pounds lighter than a BRZ. You’re also forgetting they have an almost identical peak torque figure but the Miata doesn’t suffer from the infamous dip.

“Defective Panoramic Roofs”

5D Chess

That’s the one thing that keeps me here. Wish the comment sections at R&T, C&D, and TheDrive were as good.

What’s it feel like to knowingly buy a car that suffers from the exact same flaw the previous generation has?

awh boo hoo someone doesn’t want adaptive lane keep in a car they wouldn’t buy anyway :(

Miata is a metric crap ton lighter too.

Justin, these people are fucking morons. Good article.

  • Cooling is an issue. Aftermarket intercooler, radiator, and oil cooler are needed for anything more than autox

There’s so much shit you have to add to the M2 to get it to go around a track. I imagine the M240 is even worse, though I may be wrong.

Think of phone usage in 2010

NC miata is best miata don’t @ me

Scion is only dead because Toyota went “wait, we don’t need a separate brand to appeal to the youths anymore, we can just style our entry level cars like we would have styled Scions”.

Because people buy angry cars...

He’s the same dude who brought us and marketed Scion during the early 00s. Allen Mulally gunned for him pretty hard too, which tells you he’s probably legit.

Why take the gamble when you can just go buy a Honda/Toyota suv and not have to worry about anything?

Why would you whine over 10-20k miles when the alternative car literally has a time limit on how long it’ll last.
