Side note: Please Stop hiring Max Landis. The man is not a good story teller. His movies are overly and unnecessarily violent, underwhelming shlock fests that have terrible world building, and make almost everyone who actually care about good movies and television groan.

I really hate modern takes on soldiers and airmen and their behavior towards women. It takes a real jerk to look at men who were risking their lives to save the world and then take them to task for not being the woke post-feminists Captain America’s that they should have been.

The main problem with this film is that it has no idea what it is. It’s like a movie made by committee. Is it action/historical slock? Is it magical/post steampunk fantasy flair? Is it Marysue-ism gone WW2?

Seriously, I’m happy with Disney/Marvel for adding so many folks of color in front of and behind the camera. Now I have of other hate for these mega-corps for other things, but it’s nice to see them willing at long last, to put people of color front and center in their films and tv offerings.

It’s fine, having his sister or Killmonger take up the mantle for a few years won’t hurt the bottom line. No one is not going to see BP2, and by the time we get to a third movie, say 2025, they can always change their minds.

I know it’s expensive, I also know there are good things to spend the money on... but I still hate the fact that we just gave up on moon landings and human exploration of our solar system beyond earth orbit for the last 45 years.

I think she is at peace with who she is. She is every bit what a jedi should be. The people who said she wasn’t are all dead and buried (almost certainly), and yet she is still here, living up to the code they had all but abandoned or ignored when it became inconvenient.
