Toyota has historically had some really fun cars(Celica, FJ40, Supra, Corolla, etc)they just lost their way for a couple decades but have decided to come back full force apparently.

And on second glance, this is still a terrible idea. Someone has taken a near bulletproof drivetrain and swapped it out for something that has half the performance, half the range, all the downsides of charging a battery pack and added 400 lbs to the weight of the vehicle. What part of this is a good deal???

7500 at the crank. Final drives are around 1:3 if memory serves so 3 X 7500 at the wheels. There were no top fuel dragsters 100 years ago LOL. Electric cars have been around for 100 years and more. Top fuel engines do not run in a diesel mode by the way, urban legend.

It’s just a different feeling, though. The Model X accelerates like a spaceship going into hyperspace . It’s clinical. The Hellcat...god. That rumble. The shaking. The raw feeling of unbridled and uncontrolled power. The feeling that if you do something wrong, you will be punished.

What exactly is wrong with you people that you keep calling these “phallic enhancers?” As if people couldn’t just enjoy going fast and everything has to be about your views of masculinity. No one says this nonsense about Porsche or Tesla.
