How have you never heard the classic joke about racing?

Completely agree with you. Watching them drag down the main straight of Cota and feeling the pressure wave from those old motors was amazing. It felt like something was punching you all over at one time. Crazy feeling.

Did anyone else scroll slow and hope it wasn't an F1?  Yes, I know the driver should be the important thing, but it's a thought that was there.

You are going to miss the opportunity to write about how his insurance is going to do everything it can to not pay out. Could be an interesting read.

If you put Rally van for sale in the headline it would of been an over whelming victory. Think of it, some period era correct Castrol wrap on this thing and all of a sudden we are holding a drift on lock waiting to hear “ long easy right, baby."

I don’t think it has anything to do with boomers at all. My best guess is that this is a product design that keeps the Corvette around for future generations of customers. It’s a stop gap from big stonking v8's to hybrids to full electric platforms that have slightly different bodies on them. It’s for gm to learn how

It’s good to hear that you are turning a wrench and keeping it on the road. I’ve always felt like the WS6 and the Camaro SS of that era don’t get the love they deserve. I haven’t seen one on the road for a while, but at least yours is out there somewhere turning tires into smoke.

Did anyone else immediately start to wonder how much a 94 firebird cost and if a clutch job on it can be a driveway affair?

They will get it online and then still go into the store for help activating, a double loss.

I agree that in the 80's and 90's manufacturers left horsepower on the table, but I’m pretty sure they did it for reliability purposes. Adding a few more pounds of boost and more fuel meant more fun, but also more stress to engine parts and an overall shorter life. I’m sure they got you just past the warranty with the

Forest for the trees, forest for the trees.

Not really. Based on our interaction and your interactions with others on this story it’s clear that you have an issue with details that don’t fit your narrative. If that’s the case, the current king of omitting details to fit a one sided narrative is Fox news. I didn’t say that you would enjoy the content, but may

Die on your hill if you must, but Ken did a great job covering the full story and did not glorify the account. Your Bundy argument misses the point and is extreme in the wrong direction, but it’s good to know that you don’t respect the full side of every story. You must watch Fox news.

Im going to defend Ken on this. Reread the article, he reports it like what it is a historical event. He doesn’t say this is cool, he stated how it was received poorly at the time. The whole section is capped off by saying that Kirikae-san is not comfortable talking about it.

Hard to find the coupe at a reasonable price without tons of miles. When I was looking last year mid 20ks and up was what I saw. Some of them had already received the premium I know what I have price too. Ended up with a convertible instead.

We can say that we were there when Saint David Of Jalopnik was on his rise. Seriously, his one take answered more questions than most of the articles on this car. It has me more psyched for the review, which hopefully lands in Davids hands.

It’s actually pretty cool. Reminds me of the front wing of an f1 car and we all know the answer is always race car. So being that it’s race car inspired it makes it a design win for me.

I don’t know man, my 2zzge is at 168k and has decided if it’s not eating the oil it’s leaking it. My 1zz has no leaks but eats a quart every thousand miles. To top it off both cars have had nothing but Mobil 1 since very early, under 20k miles. They are great motors, but it has it’s faults.

Maybe Toyota has some weird contract with Bmw that prevents them from showing the car before a certian milestone happens for Bmw. Like first Z order. Otherwise, why would they hint over and over again at the styling and not show the thing already. It’s like them saying “We know it’s a Bmw, but our’s looks way cooler

I hope it is gold. We would probably be there within a year. Besides don’t we all want to see Total Recall play out while Arnie is still alive to save us all?
