Then you clearly don’t understand the concept of copyright infringement. The lawsuit isn’t about cheating, it’s about preventing people from reverse engineering your code and selling it. Fact is, these guys committed a theft.

They are suing not because they use them but these 2 are ones who make an off technical support to people who want to use them and editing the games code is against the Terms of Service Epic has made so they are in thier legal right to sue.

I don’t think they cared so much. Game Genie only altered local games that you already owned most likely. The only financial harm you could argue is that someone might rent and beat it in a day, rather than buy

Game genie didnt ruin the game for millions of players or give unfair advantages over real players (minus playing a small versus game at home).

I was going to be pissed at Epic at first. Then I paused a moment to think about it and decided eh screw those cheaters.

People who cheat at online games are fucking scum. I don’t understand how it amounts to any sort of fun at all.

Reminds me of when my wife, who’s Hispanic and an attorney who graduated from a top law school, went to a family baby shower where she played boggle with a bunch of middle aged white ladies (in-laws of a cousin). Unintentionally, she utterly wrecked them, and apparently got some really weird reactions.
