I feel like the stakes online have risen to a fever pitch. Everything is amplified a billion times, for better or for worse. It’s so weird because Jurassic World pretty much tells everyone in the audience that they’re wrong for wanting a shiny new Jurassic Park movie. Like, you can take the plot of the entire movie and see it as a sloppy, unsubtle allegory against big, terrible, and unnecessary franchises. Itself included.

My guess is that the Asian, Indian, Mexican communities etc, all went to the US for a better life. They, for the most part chose to go there. They went to open up stores, to work in firms and to build a future for their children. There was no stigma for them being Asian the way the US has a stigma for being Black.
