I think it’s an attempt to stay relevant... by staying controversial, but racism against Asians aside, it comes across as just plain inarticulate. Is she the most Asian because she’s so different? Because there will always be fans. That’s what this era tells us. No matter how despised something someone did is, there is a certain critical mass with people where the larger number don’t know, or don’t care about said “scandal”.

Perhaps the idea was to shock and to be bold and brazen about it, and therefore it would somehow transcend the subject matter... but at the end of the day this is nearly as bad as when she did it with Dictatorial Themes and imagery.
