Before I was hired on Batman: The Brave and the Bold, I was in Brandon Vietti’s office and there wasn’t much art for it yet, but he was working on one of the first episodes and he said, “do you want to hear Batman’s voice?” and of course I said yes. As soon as he played me Diedrich Bader as Batman, I knew what the

. . . it’s totally OK if that’s how you want to spend your time?

This is exactly the role June Diane Raphael would have played a decade ago and the reaction is the same:

Marvel created a character that the fans have loved and have embraced. THEYVE LOST THE PLOT.

For some reason, the exodus of commenters has left us with a high percentage of grumpy middle-aged dads doing their best Abe Simpson cosplay. It is what it is.

She was a *GREAT* joke of a person.

There’s a rich lineage of beloved TV characters that, if you were in a room with them IRL, would make you tear out your own eyes just for something to plug your ears with.

“I don’t own a TV.”

When Hulu first launched it was like a way to watch OTA TV on demand for free without a DVR. I don’t really understand what it’s supposed to be now that it costs money and the few Hulu exclusives tend to be more miss than hit.

Obviously a Skrull.

It was fine, but we probably won’t be dining on that crowd again.

It’s actually one of the things I love about British actors: they take the job seriously, but they’re also serious about the fact that it’s a job first and foremost. Want Olivia Colman or Ian McKellan or (notoriously) Michael Caine to show up and lend your bullshit production a completely unearned air of gravitas?

Thinking more and more about the current slate of upcoming Marvel stuff, I think this is the one I’m most interested in (perhaps the only one?) so I’m glad the trailer looks good.  I’m a big fan of paranormal spy stuff and it’s nice to see Fury finally get his day in the sun.

Trailer looks fantastic. I’m relieved to see a more grounded show with a more serious tone. Sam Jackson bringing the heat.
