One of the real pleasures of working at a big research university is that I can request silly things outside my field of research for holiday reading... like this book.

A playstation 3, which now mainly serves as bluray player....and my old playstation 1, which I bought from my own saved pocket money 20 years ago and which now serves no actual purpose besides existing (and still being in full working order, which is tested with a few hours of Gran Turismo2 about once a year)
In almost chronological order:
2 Master Systems, 2 NESes, 3 Gameboy, 4 GBCs, 2 SNESes, 2 Super Gameboys, 2 Genesis Models 1's, 1 Sega CD, 1 Power Base (if it counts), 1 Saturn, 2 N64s, 1 PSOne (the reissue), 3 PS2s, like 5 GBAs, 3 Dreamcasts, 2 GCNs, 2 Xboxes (one dubbed the Frankenbox for how many other Xboxes we’ve…
One X is a beautiful powerful machine for sure, and the 4K BR drive is great as well - I would have bought a PS4 Pro on day 1 if it’d also had 4K BR drive.

Will you sell me one of those PS2s? Mine finally crapped out this winter
Yeah that makes total sense. Thanks for the explication.
9 Dreamcasts !?!?
I only recently got mine — I never knew how satisfying the Neo Geo Pocket Color’s joystick was until I tried it and fell in love with that click.
Are you missing the Sega GameGear? I was mad at my parents because they bought the color system and I couldn’t play Magic vs. Bird or whatever on the Gameboy. The screen on mine went out in 2014. Mobile aND color Sonic.
Neo Geo Pocket!
That’s an impressive collection. Mine is not as extensive a collection but I have:
I have sonic 2 and Skies of Arcadia :) :) :) I haven’t played either of them in years!!!
In the same boat with you, i have 5 Dreamcast and 5 orginal Xbox’s (2 modded).
I admire your dedication to the Dreamcast. I have less physical games than you for the DC, but I may be able to give you a run for your money for the hardware/accessory side of the Dreamcast platform.
Virtua Fighter on the Saturn brings memories back.
that’s the exact definition of a compulsive hoarder
you might have a problem fam
