OMG. I’ve never seen this concept before. F body platform? It seems stunning

Unfortunately, GM would have never been able to pull that off without fucking it up.

Just overnight them from Japan.

It is a very nice and distinct roadster. I saw one (Alpina), just the other day.

Well, the stock car wasn’t particularly hard edged. It was fast, the handling was surefooted, but it wasn’t particularly exciting or fun to drive. The Alpine was the touring car that the Z8 was leaning towards all along.

ISTR that the car got reasonably favorable reviews, but compared to it’s competition, it was a little boring. I just looked up C&D’s review (group test with Ferrari and Aston), and they said it felt a little “vintage”, which to me might be a bit disappointing despite the retro looks. After all, if I wanted a vintage

Yeah, but he turned down the TJ fight.

The Saab 9-5. It is six years old but I could pass it off as new. A bit of a bias as this one is mine

I would totally rock a targa Toyobaru.

It does sound awesome (I have Borla cat-backs on it, too). : )

Thanks! It’s not a 392, just a 345. But it’s got a Whipple twin-screw under the hood and is good for 575 at the crank and about 500 at the wheels.

I bet. Those are slick looking cars and I’ve heard that they’re a blast to drive. My trade-in was an ‘07 Solara and I was a little sad to see it go, to be honest. I loved that car. Burned a ton of oil, though.

That’s exactly what happened to me two years ago. After I turned in the V-6 to the rental place and got back my car from the shop, I traded it in for a brand new pitch black R/T.

I want an R/T 392. Even though it would cost a small fortune to run in Europe and wouldn’t fit anywhere...

You may as well watch The Thing from Another World as well since that is the “original”, though I’m sure you read that during your research

I’m so excited for Mazda right now. I don’t know how they are doing it as a tiny little corner of the industry and not part of a conglomerate, but they seem to be making really good investment decisions and haven’t had any big missteps.

I listened to the whole soundtrack for hours after seeing it in IMAX last night.

Thank you very much I appreciate the kind words. I hope to keep writing stuff to keep you interest.

Hey Gary, once again, I want to say, amazing article. I don’t know if I speak for others, but I think that I do, and I think that it’s an overstatement to say that you saved FA, but you have turned it around incredibly. Stories like this are why I come here. I didn’t mind the politics previously as much as some others
