That’s a mighty fine vehichle

Damn that thing’s pretty. I’m taking this as hope that Peugeot will indeed be bringing their sedan lineup to us despite the US market not understanding the value of them.
I’m looking for a used car now and when researching dealerships you see a lot of people going “They didn’t tell me about X” or “I didn’t even know Auto Check was a thing but it said Y and I feel cheated”and each time all I can think is that is totally on the buyer to do that research.
CarFax, AutoCheck, and then still get a respectable mechanic. Buying used without that is just walking into a minefield
I’m with Jason on this one, that Datsun has pure fun written all over it
Please tell me that it also had Truck Nuts
Did that change with the MK7 at all? I’m looking at one and would be good to know in advance
I’m honestly a bit more jealous of the Fulvia. Its one of my dream cars, and unfortunately much harder to find here in the US
I find the exterior really dull, except for the rims. Those are pretty cool looking and feel kind of out of place on this car that wants to be a Genesis
I do have a bit of a romanticized notion of trains, and grew up outside of Boston and familiar with the riding the T. But I also know that the time they take to the comfort level doesn’t really make sense. I was planning a trip with a buddy to go from Texas (where I am now) to visit Denver, and he thought of a train.…
Someone would like to have a word with you
They’ll show up at your Goodwill covered in rust stains, and dark stains you hope are from oil
I’m digging the door handle one
I’m not against keeping it stock. There’s something really clean about that look. But it really depends on the car, and it’s use
I watched it...its a fine movie. The performances are good, and that’s because the actors are good. The action is pretty well shot, and yeah the cars were cool and fitting. But it just kinda meanders a bit and never really delivers on a good story.
Honestly, its a really handsome looking crossover. I’d wager this is something someone would pick over a minivan if needing that same amount of space, and I think it would have more fun to it (no negatives about minivan, they definitely more than have their place, but I like the headroom in a boxy crossover better)
Those seats are great. I’m looking to buy a used Golf and totally want to try and replace the seats with the GTI tartan seats. More cars need to stylish seats
I hate to say it, but I’m with Patrick. The project video he linked looks badass
My first car was a 2001 Dodge Neon (so yes a generation after the one Torch is focusing on) but damned if I don’t miss that car. It had some fun, and as David mentions it got a better automatic transmission by then. It kinda had some gokart like handling that made it feel a little more dangerous and exciting.
If I was a small car collector with $5k being nothing to me, I’d consider this with how great the shape is. But for your regular Jalopnik and our budget, that’s a fair price tag for a just ok unusual car. CP
