I am pretty sure I heard him tell teammate Tom, “I have never done that before”, but yes, he should have been more adamant about it.   He should have I have never had to French anything, and that sort of butchery work is NOT in my wheelhouse, let me do something else.

If Nichole had tossed some octopus into her bubble waffles, they would have been way damn closer to tacoyaki than what Charbel put up.   Sucks for him to loose on that I love Japan gamble.  There are a lot of Japanese street foods that are a bit tricky to figure out even if you’ve eaten them, let alone never even

It was clear Tom was gutted by Collichio’s comment that if the mousse had set properly, he would have won.   It had to hurt even more, because it DID set right.   He said so himself earlier in the episode, and he had to pull them out of the fridge to let them soften to the correct texture, but it went too far.   I

The 3 dish tea service was a very difficult challenge indeed but I don’t have a problem with it, since this is All Stars. These chefs are all seasoned pros and it required them to make smart decisions …trying to do eclairs in addition to two other dishes in one hour is not a smart decision.

I’ve seen in previous seasons a contestant having another contestant buy a a few items for them when they are over budget, but he seemed to be WAY over.

I’m just really happy to see the coverage return to the AV Club.

I don’t mind the shopping aspect.  I think it helps keep it more relatable for people watching at home, and it no doubt helps pay the bills with all that sweet sweet Whole Foods ad revenue.

I know he’s a total asshole.   All your critiques of him as a person are totally valid.   However, I can’t help myself, I still find Clarkson Farm engaging and entertaining.    I still laugh at his schtick, even as it is getting a bit old and predictable.   I do believe that his show is serving a greater good, at

Al Franken FTW. Seems perfect if he wants the job permanently. Great comedic chops, and he knows how the sausage is made both in the world of politics and late night comedy.   Seems like a dream candidate for the hosting job.

No kidding...How did that conversation go?

Dang, nice catch.   I felt the move of showing her a picture of her kids was deliberate, but only thought the motivation was to show why she puts up with her douche of a husband.    I didn’t even think about the fact that both kids are blondies.

I remember when Bourdain visited, and I went a number of times over the years after that episode of his show aired with no lines whatsoever. It was freaking Guy FieriI think.

I love Puka Dog, and it was one of my regular stops every time I go to Kauai. However, the last time I visited, back in 2018, as I walked up to the shop I saw a ridiculously long line of people waiting to get in...maybe 50-75. At the rate it was moving, I figured I’d be waiting at least an hour for that dog...nope.

Ok, that one minute was gory, but comically so.  I didn’t find it as disturbing as the closing scenes of Bone Tomahawk.

This casting is outrageous.   I cannot believe that in our progressive times, Disney has the audacity to cast a human in a role playing a mermaid.   It is truly unfair and quite frankly a slap in the face to all of the mermaid actors out there struggling in the business, being forced to wear prosthetics and take roles

I too thought the episode was strong.  A C+ seems very harsh.  Yes the misogyny and kid marriage themes are gross, but it wouldn’t make sense for this to be a progressive society.  I like that it is shaping up to be a tonally distinct show from GOT.

The king wasn’t given the choice to save his wife or the baby, he was  told you can save the baby now, but your wife will die, or you can wait and they will both die in childbirth.   Still a terrible choice but a much easier one to make.

“Two years ago a guy walks into my office…”   Two year?  I couldn’t quite believe that the majority of the events in Breaking Bad plus Gene’s time in Omaha only took two years.   I had to spend refer to the BB wiki to confirm it

So Hale removed her own pearl, but then was still able to control her body to crush it? Seems like she would have frozen once the orb was out of its cradle. I guess I really don’t understand how Westworld robot tech works.
