Those who get their panties in a wad over strong female leads seem to have forgotten the entire Alien franchise. I don’t remember complaints about that when Sigorney Weaver was kicking ass as Ripley.  Why is it now pandering?

>I wanna see Predator v Cavemen

Well, if one was going to see if they could drown themselves, they may not care whether their undergarments got wet in the process.    However I do agree it has more to do with contracts with the actors.

Sure, but Tom Ellis’ take on Lucifer was pretty different from the Sandman version of the character.

I’m 99% sure he referred to himself as the show runner on WTF. I was going to check the transcript, but it hasn’t been put up on the site yet.  It could be I’m remembering it from the bit of the interview when they were discussing Good Omens.

I didn’t mean for it to sound like I am against inclusion…quite the opposite. I actually never use the term woke except when discussing how meatheads react when they complain about things like that, such as all the Star Wars meatheads who lost their collective shit over a black stormtrooper.

Mark Maron interviewed Gaiman recently...I think it just was released this week, and it’s a great listen.   Gaiman explains how the show came about and how he only agreed to it if he could be the show runner.   It’s not that he had a huge desire to be the show runner, but it was the only way he could insure that the

Totally agree implying it is redundant and unnecessary since it doesn’t add anything beyond the comics is not the right way to judge it. Saying, “read the comics instead” is not really something many TV viewers are ever going to do.   There are comic readers and non-comic readers, and the first group is MUCH smaller

Oh yeah, the bad juju thing.   I was wondering about the pixelated eyes myself.   This is a not so well hidden Easter egg for those who saw season 1.   I totally had forgotten about that.

It sure seems like they forgot Mabel doesn’t know ASL toward the end there.   There was at least one moment, where Theo conveyed a relatively long thought via ASL and Mabel understood what he was saying.

I completely agree and sadly, at least in the Austin Texas market, it seems like the small thick pepperoni slices seem to be really hard to find at local pizza joints.   The larger, thinner disks seem to be the norm now.

I’ve never worked in a restaurant, but I have read a great deal of the writings of those who have, Anthony Bourdain, Jacques Pepin, Gabriella Hamilton, etc, and this show seemed closer to the environments I’ve read about than anything I’ve seen on film before.   I was wondering why when I started watching the first

Whoever thought of Kristen Kish as a co-host needs to be given a raise. She’s got serious chef chops, and exudes charm.

I have no evidence to back this up, but my guess would be that Food Network contractual obligations may be playing a role in who is and is not on the Netflix version.

I totally agree that I don’t see the fact that Leia knew Obi Wan as a child as an issue for A New Hope.   It could be that she formally introduced herself in her hologram because she knows that it’s been a few decades since Obi Wan has seen her and may not realize who he’s talking to.

The SW franchise should just say fuck it, the multiverse also applies to Star Wars, and that’s why there are inconsistencies.

Agreed, he knew Obi wan was there and was baiting him.  I even said that out loud to my wife the moment he killed the first innocent bystander.

I don’t want to make excuses for sloppy writing, but I have a sense of hearing, but sometimes, there are noises that I miss that someone else hears, and when they mention it, I pick up on it.   I think that the ability for users to sense things using the force is like that.   Some events like the blowing up of a

Exactly. I don’t think it’s right to call them trolls. Trolls are people who post outrageous or controversial comments just to get a rise out of people.  These people are just being flat out racist.
