“Oh no! What if everyone likes BotW2 and I don’t? I won’t be able to have any conversations with them about anything!

Read this:

No, it’s not. He’s saying take is for what it is, two men who love each other as friends, not an opportunity for wishful thinking. If anything, it’s a clear indication that Marvel and Disney need to create backstories and characters for sexual and gender inclusivity from the ground up. But don’t shoot Mackie just

He calls homosexuality pure and beautiful. I don't at all think it's fair to characterize his remarks as homophobic. Not even remotely. He was expressing that homosexuality is great but it's also important not to place every depiction of male love, and even sensitive masculinity, c into the gay bucket.

I don't see it. He said they should be able to show a male friendship with intimacy that isn't gay and, at least my interpretation of it was, that pretending it might be something else was explorative. I did catch the bit about fandoms needing to stop reading into things as well but that was hardly homophobic

Mackie’s response was clearly (and weirdly) homophobic.

Ummm, nope. And it’s honestly strange you read it that way.

Everyone who disagrees with you is not a homophobe.  Most are probably allies who you will ultimately drive away.

I don’t know if it was homophobic. It can be a difficult topic and features a lot of charged language. Seemed to me like he was just trying to escape without Twitter shitting itself. Just my 2 cents and it's probably worth less than that.

Ditto for the Seven Nation Army.

Hot damn, that’s an old tweet and we heard nothing about this. I imagine nobody heard about this show from Netflix for a reason then, not to mention why it got cancelled.

He probably could’ve phrased it better, but I agree with the underlying sentiment 100%. It’s absurd that every male friendship gets distorted into a potential gay relationship, even when there’s no evidence beyond the relationship being just a male friendship. Happens with female friendships, too (see, e.g.,

I’m not him (that you know of), but in re: your question:

The reason why this happens, from what I’ve seen, is that there aren’t many actual LGBT couples in mainstream pop culture so the LGBT community make fan ships of characters they like to make their own.

Fox affiliate does not equal Fox News. They’re owned by the same company, sure, but local Fox stations are no more or less biased than any other local news broadcast. It sounds like she feels like she’s been “censored” by her employer, which is the local affiliate, but also realizes that saying so isn’t going to do

“I’m working with Project Veritas”

After a while, stories like this just end up tumbling into an undifferentiated bin called “examples of how incredibly stupid humans can be.”

Ah, a range Doof Warrior. What the world needs.

You can probably take your mix and shove it into one those plunge style measuring “cups,” stick it in the fridge, then when it hardens you can extrude it into a nice spherical shape.
