Saw this a couple of months ago and enjoyed it far more than the reviewer. I think it’s reductive to put it into the Taken genre - whilst there is some (gory) action moments it’s not an action film, and the role Mikkelsen plays is a far cry from that type of genre. It’s definitely more of a dark comedy with some

(though the first movie wasn’t really about knives, beyond the title line and that knife chair with all the knives)

Be fair. After all the billions he’s spent to aid the Amazon workforce during the pandemic let the guy splurge a little on something for himself.

Yeah, I see that shitbagginess on full display when they’re performing too.

It just about killed me when I started watching Mindhunter - ‘who is this guy?’. I’ve seen Fight Club many times but couldn’t figure out who he was.

a public announcement that should, if nothing else, throw some much-needed attention toward that often misunderstood condition.”

This is EXACTLY the way Bill Peters lost his NHL coaching job over two years ago. Peters said those exact same words to Akim Aliu when he was coaching him in the AHL (minor league) years ago, and when the story eventually came out years later, the Calgary Flames fired him.

I guess it’s true, Stranger Things implies that there’s a baseline, less strange thing. So the experimental chemicals 11 are subject to are stranger than lead, but they’re mirrors of each other because they both cause behavioral changes.

I fucking hate the trend of a cover song being slowed down but that’s most definitely Dave Gahan singing in the background, not some shithead wannabe pop star singing slow and breathless in a vain attempt to be edgy.

My understanding is that B&W refused and it was their choice to make.

Tanslations: “I’m willing to look past all his terrible thoughts and ideas for no good reason because maybe, just maybe, Elon will be my friend.”

You don’t find COVID denialism at all suspect, or is your statute of limitations on “lately” just extraordinarily short?

It could just be that one artist does it, and a bunch of other artists of similar vintage see that and go “well shit, that much money? we could do that too.” And so every few years, we see a little wave of artists selling their catalogs for a bundle.

The Captain America franchise always gets saddled with franchise setup. The Thor & Iron Man trilogies got to focus on their own narratives more than Cap. He only got two movies, before he was canniballized by the bigger picture, like he was just a vessel to the MCU in the end. Now, Sam’s story is getting ruined by the
