Haven’t seen the new episode yet but I absolutely loved season one.  Wonderfully creepy.

Likely the reason an amateur builder didn’t buy it is because a lot of the robot combat events don’t let you buy a robot and then enter it. They’re engineering competitions, and you’re expected to engineer your entry. These things regularly cost tens of thousands of dollars, not counting that a motor or custom…

They’d better figure out a damn good explanation because in real life you’d never see a scenario where 15 years pass and four friends don’t remain as close as ever.

I used to think “this is not who we are.” Then I realized what I was saying is “this is not who I wish we were.”

I wouldn’t be surprised if they impeach trump again once they have control of the senate. yeah too little too late but if it prevents him from holding office again I’m all in favor (bonus points if it takes away his secret service detail). Altho not holding my breath that 17 repub senators would do the right thing.

Mitt has always tried to have his cake and eat it too - he wags his finger at Trump occasionally so that he can appear to be reasonable, but falls in line with some truly awful policies the rest of the time.

I’m no Mitt fan, but he certainly didn’t just decide to stop backing Trump. He voted to remove Trump from office in 2019. He was the only Republican who did.

So they’re praising him for doing the bare minimum of not backing a coup. Like, he’s still backing shitty policies and has for the most part backed Trump’s shit in the past. But no, he gets a cookie for not wanting to outright overthrow the government.

I really want to know what museum, exactly, they think wants a defunct Battlebot? Do they think the Met has a Battlebots section? The Smithsonian?
