Haiku: basic shit

People still stay home...actually the rate of stay at home mothers has risen since the late 90’s...

To be fair, Trial of the Chicago 7 was more Sorkin turning Abbie Hoffman from an anarchist he was in real life into his own neoliberal mouthpiece.

Cue long boring speeches about what I Love Lucy and the cast means to America, because Aaron Sorkin can’t write any historical biography without the benefit of hindsight.

MORE UMBRELLA!!!

season two does possess a much surer sense of blackly absurdist humor about its ever more outlandish story”

Haven’t seen the new episode yet but I absolutely loved season one.  Wonderfully creepy.

Likely the reason an amateur builder didn’t buy it is because a lot of the robot combat events don’t let you buy a robot and then enter it. They’re engineering competitions, and you’re expected to engineer your entry. These things regularly cost tens of thousands of dollars, not counting that a motor or custom

They’d better figure out a damn good explanation because in real life you’d never see a scenario where 15 years pass and four friends don’t remain as close as ever.

Complaints about “violating his First Amendment Rights” from people who don't understand the Constitution in 3...2...1....

You’ll have to find someone named Ryan Johnson and ask him.

I used to think “this is not who we are.” Then I realized what I was saying is “this is not who I wish we were.”

Late Wednesday afternoon, after a horde of Trump-supporting, terroristic rioters had been allowed to breach the

I wouldn’t be surprised if they impeach trump again once they have control of the senate. yeah too little too late but if it prevents him from holding office again I’m all in favor (bonus points if it takes away his secret service detail). Altho not holding my breath that 17 repub senators would do the right thing.

Mitt has always tried to have his cake and eat it too - he wags his finger at Trump occasionally so that he can appear to be reasonable, but falls in line with some truly awful policies the rest of the time.

I’m no Mitt fan, but he certainly didn’t just decide to stop backing Trump. He voted to remove Trump from office in 2019. He was the only Republican who did.

So they’re praising him for doing the bare minimum of not backing a coup. Like, he’s still backing shitty policies and has for the most part backed Trump’s shit in the past. But no, he gets a cookie for not wanting to outright overthrow the government.

I really want to know what museum, exactly, they think wants a defunct Battlebot? Do they think the Met has a Battlebots section? The Smithsonian?
