You’re very correct- I framed what I said specifically not as a grade or criticism to Weezer or any of their albums, but as how their music has resonated with me. I can appreciate if others find any way to enjoy Weezer’s music, the band’s certainly talented-even if I can’t fully enjoy them.

I’ve always liked Weezer songs, I just can never enjoy a full album. I’ve tried, and I know there’s endless talk of Maladroit, Pinkerton, Green Album, Blue Album, but it’s just a few songs from each album and otherwise most of their catalogue just doesn’t hook me.

It’s always maddening when somebody says “there’s a big twist at one point, I won’t spoil it for you what it is!!!”, and it’s even more maddening when it’s done by somebody who’s job is writing about film- truly genius, AV Club.

There’s not many that capture the sultry Gahan tones.
