BUT, fuel cells or electrolysing the most common element in the universe from water to burn in an ICE makes a hell of a lot more sense than extracting, refining and transporting petroleum. Why would they waste 70% of that…

You think they’d refine petroleum on every planet when water and hydrogen is just lying around?

I mean, it’s fictional, so whatever. But the Jerry Cans could be full of water, to electrolyse water and hydrogen from, to burn in a V8 ICE.

Or to electrolyse hydrogen from, to power the vehicle.

You know a terrifying amount of detail about a fictional vehicle.
