Yea, its unfortunate but dude should have just asked the trainer to make the call.

Exactly. Its wasn't humorous or clever on SNL either.
Cool, Im glad yall enjoyed it. I personally don't think its exploitative. Different strokes.
I know that many people do that, but it would seem if you are not trying to attract viral video attention (or the eye of disney) you would keep this type of thing on a private page. I don't know, everything about this "moment" apart from the child, felt very forced.
Call me crotchety but it seems like this was a clear viral video attempt on the parent's part. I don't know why you can't just do something special for your little girl and cherish the memory without sharing it with the world.
I will be very interested in seeing this play out. Food insecurity does not usually equal hunger in America, and is often associated with obesity and poor nutrition, so the framing of this issue and the character will be interesting to me.
Thank you! I mean, act like she wasn't even IN the picture.
Well, I would have a problem putting her in a women's prison. She may identify as a woman but is biologically a man. There are many women who wouldn't be comfortable with her there and would feel as unsafe as she does among men with whom she doesn't identify despite sharing their biological characteristics.
That was also what shocked me. Someone took the train at this hour and was playing a game on her phone to boot. While I know that everyone can not afford a cab/get ride, the least one must do is stay totally focused (no games, music, etc.) Wait by a guard if possible etc. A lot worse could have happened. This is not…
Why is the accompanying photo of Lewis and not the candidate who quit?
She about fell out and her mother did too. They just assumed she'd be a bigot. Sad. But my friend wanted certain traditions (like having this dress made) that her sister had also had when she married (a man) and went home to do them. She actually ended up having a pretty decent time with vendors. Her now wife wore her…
I was going to say something similar because of a situation of a friend that cracked me up.
What's a public ivy?
There is some fallacy thinking in some of the comments here. As someone in public health research who has done work related to social and built environments and health, I have seen that the issues are very complicated around access and behavior change. It seems people here are operating based on some sense of a…
Is it really that deep? Its just nostalgia, and its quite common.
Charity care is part of why our healthcare costs are out of control. Plenty of doctors, hospitals, healthcenters, and healthcare systems see the un and uninsured. Our system is still broken, and it remains to be seen if the ACA will make the strides we need, but blaming doctors who cant absorb all of the population…
Look at Bob Blendon's polling work on rationing and waiting and taxes. People believe in health care for all in the abstract, but are not willing to sacrifice in those ways to achieve it.
It has not been my experience that "thank you, I am just looking" is enough to be left alone. Just last weekend I was out shopping and in most stores I was still subjected to several more contacts with the staff who had to give me sale details, tell me about the new fall collection, show me something I didn't ask…
