Well, I think I can make this on pretty short. It was sometime between 2008 and 2010, or whenever Nehalem first came out. I was in Hawaii (Maui specifically), with a pair of other guys, to build a Beowulf cluster (it’s a supercomputing cluster, for those who don’t know) of over 1000 nodes. Things were going well

From what I saw, Musk said this (and one other, less controversial quote in the article/story) was bullshit, that he never said that. Tbh, unless I see a screenshot of the email, or some other kind of evidence, I’m willing to bet it’s just a disgruntled employee who twisted his words.

My bosses would be there when I clocked in and were there when I left. Hell, once or twice if I took a bus by the building, I could tell they were there because the lights were motion controlled and I saw lights there at night, on weekends....

Also, although this sounds super dickish, depending on the guys job responsibility and what the event was, such an email MAY have been appropriate even given the birth of a child (if basically agreed to by the employee). Such as if this employee were in charge of stage managing or MCing a product release around the

this whole article smells of “taken out of context” and “twisted words”.

I don’t think Elon Musk is a saint, but he’s definitely not stupid. The only reason I can think of for sending that email is that it is before he found out exactly why the employee missed the work event. And what the heck is a “work event”?

Some do this for ant colonies, to get a look at what the chamber and room system looks like. It’s pretty cool.

That assumes a particular use, though. What if I don’t need a mouse at all?

“What, exactly, does a non-optimized site look like? “

There’s a lot more behind that scan than you realize...

Usually an MRI is a >30 minute procedure. It is ordered by a doctor who first examined you and decided you needed it. It is done by a well trained, experienced technologist who operates it. For just your brain, it generates several hundred images, which are then reconstructed into several hundred more slices in

It is refreshing to see the hero actually get tired.

I love that game so much.

Every time it snows (and sticks) I make a point to spend some time intentionally fish-tailing and sliding after braking too hard (at slow speeds, fully controlled, and never around other cars or on public roads) to remind myself what it feels like when I lose traction and how to react appropriately in my truck. I

Not-so-fun-fact: Texas Rangers rigged a few fences to explode when the wires were cut.

It definitely highlights how much more advanced she is when it comes to tech than her rivals. I'm not saying it wasn't SMART. Just sneaky!!

Listen, I know a guy. He's got issues, but I think you'd really like what he can do.

Cue all the "They said my powers were stupid" memes where he's controlling sharks or Cthulhu
