Yeah, commented below another comment fixing the error. It’s still like .002% of America’s total.

Again, I’m not saying don’t fix it. Just that statistically it’s not worth panicking over.

Agree, I misread on the first pass through. It’s still insignificant compared to US total production at .0027%*. I guess what I’m trying to say is that it doesn’t belong on the same scale as the oil disasters and numerous other environmental disasters in the last 10 years.

yeah I sure did. Waaaaay too early in the morning for math apparently.

rate of nearly 1,300 metric tons per day

Still have 1 of my 2 wired trackmans, but had to replace one after it wore out so now I have 2 wireless and 2 wired. Trackballs ftw. The wireless ones last years between battery replacements..

The good news is that the ISS won. The bad news is that we crashed earth into the black hole to slingshot it at near lightspeed.

We’ve never had such an opportunity to make jobs before and the future will remember us as master economizers!

Don’t forget the booming air purifer and face mask markets! Without the smog those would go under fast.

It’s certainly reasonable to challenge the use case

It’s great that your a fan of polarized lenses, but I’ll take my photos full flavor k thanks.

And you think by the time this could be put into a cell phone

A lot of CS degrees are really close to math minors. Figure out what it takes-for example it took 2 extra classes (that also counted towards other requirements) to get mine.

To add to this, a ton of programming jobs require degrees to even consider hiring you. My first programming position was associates or 2 years of bachelors and a year experience, second was a bachelors and 2 years exp, third was bachelors and 3 years exp.

Well yeah, of course some time in the future this will be real time. I also agree that maybe a device using this technique will come out for people who are serious about scanning 3d models. I also am sure that phones will have 3d imaging and eventually make it popular.

I’m intriuged as to how 3 different polarization filters could work in a single sensor....Also, It still relies on having a laser/sensor system (Kinect).

Which would ruin your non-3d photos.
