You should have waited a month, so that way this post would be 3 years old.

Excluding Latex for a moment, Notepad++ (or any IDE) will let you 'mix text, code, and Markdown' while doing syntax highlighting and etc.

You said it, SQL averages lower because it is associated with every web development job, including the lower paying ones. HTML/Javascript/SQL being necessary for every website no matter the other language(s).

SQL is lower because it's on the requirements list for the lower programming languages as well as the higher ones. Think of it this way- HTML/Javascript/SQL are going to be on every web development languages need to know list (ROR, PHP, C#, VB, etc). Since it's tied to basically every web development job, it gets to

Sorry, but A) the link is from Reddit as an image and ain't nobody got time to type that all over again; B) I posted a link and it got kinjad into an image. Not my fault Kinja sucks at displaying images.

Yes, yes I do think you would spend roughly the same amount of time learning to teach it either way. The fact that guides exist for teach parents now is an excellent sign that our society has advanced significantly in how our parents care for our children.

A. No it's not, because they should be/are going to be spending the same amount of time to learn any method. It's not like the old way of learning math was any less complicated.

Sorry, I meant that it takes an adult less than an hour to

I really hate this. It's too bad more parents won't take the hour to learn a new way of doing things. If a 5 year old can do it, so can every adult.

I think it's ridiculous that a 5 year old can pick up these skills, but their parents either can't or won't take the hour to learn what their children are being taught. So many people are outraged simply because they saw a video on Youtube...

I wish more sales people were like you. Walked on to a dealership a couple years ago, told them we were looking for a decent car between 8-10k (already had financing and 5k down) and the guy showed us nothing but 20k cars. When we asked about anything in our price range he sighed and rambled on about talking with
