I grew up in Grosse Pointe and I think it gets a worse rap than it should based mostly because of the cops and it's proximity to Detroit. That's not to say it doesn't have more than it's fair share of racists because it does but I don't think it has any more than the upper class west side suburbs. Also Grosse Pointe

Creme Brulee Java Stout....mmmmmmmmmm.........

I grew up in Grosse Pointe and have a funny story about Stroh's beer. I was in middle school and a friend of mine had a much older sister (like 20+ years older) who was married to someone in the Stroh's family (don't remember who, I was 11 and never actually met him). One day I was at his house playing with legos and

I don't think it can do an 8 minute lap simply because it's top speed is too low. It only has a 1 speed gearbox and tops out around 125 or so, that adds a lot of time on the long straight.

So I'm curious, is the 1LE package really comparable to the Boss 302? From what is included it sounds like it's more comparable to the Mustang GT Track Package but since I haven't driven it I can't say.

So the diesel has been delayed to 2016? Thats the big news here. Or is that a typo?

do we know if they're cooling the whole car or could it just power a super cool suit or something?

Gee a V10 R8 is more fun than a diesel A7? Who ever would have guessed? It's such a logical comparison to make.

The Focus ST is not made to run on 87. It will retard timing so it won't grenade if you put 87 in it but you shouldn't run it with anything less than 91. When you run it on less than 91 you'll get less power, much worse fuel economy and risk damaging the engine. Run the 94 and you'll get better fuel economy. I drive

Which is why the entire first run of Diesel 1500 Rams was presold within days of preorders going live. You have clearly never been to Texas. EVERYONE wants a diesel half-ton.

How many miles are on it? My ST's fuel economy got WAY better about 5000 miles in or so, pretty sure there was a break-in cycle built into the ECU.

Except that I'm not talking about just the Model S, I'm talking about the future of electric cars. Not every electric car is going to come with free supercharging and as electric cars move downmarket to something that regular people can afford there will be people who street park, and having hot swappable batteries

Also, hot swappable batteries make sense for people other than just those who drive long distances. For example, I'm sure you know people who live in cities where they rely solely on street parking, how exactly are they going to keep their electric cars charged? Run an extension cord across the sidewalk? This surely

Yes. I understand how charging an electric car works. Some of use drive long distances on a regular basis though, in locations where a supercharger is unlikely. For example: I drove 750 miles today, mostly though the desert in Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. Also if you think Supercharger stations are going to be free

I am sometimes considered a Tesla critic (really more of a musk critic) but I really hope they can eventually pull this off. Fast swapping batteries solve almost every issue with electric cars

I'm always amazed more people don't die at rally events. Rally fans are the craziest autosport fans, standing in the middle of the road while a rally car comes at them at full throttle, only getting out of the way at the last possible second. Honestly I think most rally fans understand the risks.

How is that car plated? From the stickers on the dash it appears to be in Texas but it doesn't have a front plate and it has a euro plate in the back which isn't exactly legal.

Franzia FTW

Except that he wasn't. He was a series A investor yes but a founder? No. Tesla was founded by two men: Martin Eberhard and Mark Tarpenning. Musk didn't invest and join the company until 8 months after it was incorporated. This may seem like a trivial distinction but it is fact none the less.
