It’s poorly edited and way too long. If you stick with it you can kind of picture the Dateline story it might have been: they show you how everyone loved the guy; show you how his wife mysteriously died; and then show you the ugly underbelly and that the guy actually did it. It just didn’t work in this case.

Yeah. Cue the internet outrage. This is a story that needed serious editing because it does at times sound like he’s making excuses for a rapist, but it’s just a structural problem with the story. It’s a poorly executed classic features article, in pyramid form—he just lets his base get too wide too soon, if that

Breaking News: Millenials now report that Millenials are the first to find wine as a relaxing way to wind down after work. And Millenials have statistics to back it up. You’re welcome, the rest of you losers who have been doing life wrong before we got here.

A scrum master clown boy would imply that he could develop in an agile fashion, delivering great results and satisfaction of his clown customer base.

Because you have no imagination.

Yes! Me too. Someone definitely had to say ... that! And I will fight to the death for young, strong, smart people who happen to be women to say that thing that she said! (Maybe someone can mansplain it to me later, tho.)

Well, religious is one thing, but religious and likes Celine Dion ... ding! ding! ding! We have a winner!

You realize neither of those songs are renditions of “Celine Dion songs,” right? She had covered other peoples’ songs, and he chose to cover them too.

Who is this“The Crown” guy? A superhero of some sort?

“I believe God was standing with me and that’s just my religious belief.”

Mulaney was robbed. That was a funny, albeit Seinfeld-esque, show. She was great in that ensemble and can definitely pass as a boy just by letting those eyebrows grow naturally, lol. A little danger, however, given the negative response to Off the Boat. We’ll see how this goes over with the Iranian crowd—i.e. do they

Yes; all good points, and I see your link to the bigger problem as well. Makes sense.

Agreed. I’m sure he’ll do jail time for this. We can argue over a definition of “mistake,” but I’ll accept yours.

I’m not mixed up. You just disagree with me, which is fine. We’re talking about this in the context of a trial and the charges against him. I agree that he should not have had his gun out. He was a rookie and seems to have been led to believe that was protocol. The rest of what you say is an opinion that may or may

I’m not railing at all. I’m politely and respectfully stating an opinion. Relax. No one says you have to agree with me. I thought it was stated at some point that he turned when he heard the sound and I guess I assumed he jerked the gun, resulting in it going off. No magic involved—just physics.

He’s claiming the gun went off when he was startled by a noise. Now you’re asserting racism, for which you really have no basis except that you’re conflating this with other outright racist crimes committed by other officers. I hope the jury is not as biased and he gets a fair trial based on the evidence of his case.

From CNN: “Officer Peter Liang faces five counts in the death of Akai Gurley: manslaughter, assault, reckless endangerment, criminally negligent homicide and official misconduct.”

I suggest you spend some time in and around these housing projects. They are pretty terrible places, ridden with drugs, crime, and gang activity. Just because the police overuse that excuse for their unwarranted outright murders of black people does not mean these are not dangerous places to work. This is what I was
