That’s a pain in the ass.

Where did I state I was “cool” with it, I stated there was no real way to conclude at what level an “assault” had occured, the cop even acknowledged he shouldn’t have. Most likely because he was now dealing with an upset mother that he knew already had multiple warrants out on her.

You’re not too bright:

It can, but it doesn’t by default. If someone sees me grab my child that isn’t necessarily assault, parents do it constantly.

You’re missing my point, she was the one that not only disregarded the importance of littering, she stated it wasn’t even relevent without proof...despite not even being witness to her son’s “assault”. Secondly, he states in his own report he only got upset because he knew that she already had three warrants out on

He clearly on video states, if you keep pissing me off (in response to HER saying he’s pissing her off) you’re gonna go to jail...to which she responds “OK OK!” He never once had raised his voice up until this point.

Parents grab their children ALL OF THE TIME!!! Screaming in a store, hitting the family pet, reaching for a drawer...per your argument that is ASSAULT! If it was his mother that did this you wouldn’t even be here acting holier than thou, you’d be pissed that a nosy neighbor called the cops on her for “parenting her

I think you feel so strongly ONLY because it was a neighbor, because the reality is that parents grab their children ALL OF THE TIME when they do something wrong, and no one views that as “assault and battery”. Think supermarket or mall where they have a screaming fit, do they NOT grab their arm or shoulders to

You’re making this bigger than it actually is, far more white citizens get arrested on just as trivial charges, you think someone that is irate with multiple warrants out on them HELPS their case? I bet you think that’s actually irrelevant, right? Again, you still can’t even prove the actions warrant an assault

Keep up with what?? Per that link, it gives an EXAMPLE!! Again, you can’t even show me anything that states grabbing someone justifies an arrest for assault.

Seriously? This happens ROUTINELY in child support/visitation cases!!! Cops get called all the time for assault when there aren’t even visible injuries. I mean, the cop himself acknowledged in his own report, he shouldn’t have touched him but he wasn’t sure an “assault” occured since he required no medical attention

You obviously didn’t even bother to read the report. The only two things he knew going there were: 1) there were TWO calls, hence why he had to interview the neighbor first, as his call came in before hers; 2) per protocol he ran both names and she had 3 warrants outstanding. And I don’t know what video you were

He wasn’t even hurt and received no medical attention. Stop acting like he was bruised and bloodied. The cop even stated he couldn’t determine whether an offense of “assault” had occured based on testimony.

What was unprofessional? He interviewed both parties and only one of them was denying the kid littered, then acted like it didn’t even matter. The cop only wanted to find out to what level it was based on past experience of people exaggerating injuries. Neighbor said he grab his arm to pick it up, the kid refused so

Nothing in the initial report above disagrees with the video. He talked with the other guy first because he called 911 before her, got his story then went to talk to her. The cop was calm the entire time.

She had MULTIPLE waarants out on her, the LAST thing she should be doing is getting pissed at cops.

...and the mother had 3 warrants out on her, so stop acting like the video is showing him immediately tackling her to the ground. She was the one that got pissed off over someone questioning her son littering, the last thing she should be doing is mouthing off to cops with multiple warrants out on her. And that

Per the report, the neighbor grabbed his arm, he refused to pick up the litter then grabbed him by the back of the neck. he also called 911, hence why he was interviewed first. The cop didn’t state it was made up, he just didn’t know to what level an assault had occured (in the above report he stated there were other

She admitted he tossed raisins on the ground, which the neighbor mistakenly took as paper, that is FACT. Again, you keep implying that I am justifying his behavior when I never have. The cop’s behavior can most likely be based on his actual report above, that stated he had run her name and she had multiple warrants.
