This is why gift card should only be given if there a conduit for a specific purchase you know someone wants

I agree with this whole heartedly. The point of the Starbucks card isn’t the card. The card is the conduit for you buying them coffee. You really buying them coffee not a gift card

But the point is knowing what they want. Giving generic gift cards to Walmart, movies, or restaurant is just lazy and unthoughtful
