The indy mechanic I used to use said to avoid BMWs with V engines and you’ll be fine.

The Supra may have the classic emblem but the 86...
I’m guessing the 230i is the same powertrain as the 2.0 Supra?
The Supra’s biggest problem is not the Z4 or any Nissan, it’s the 2-Series. The M240i has the identical powertrain and very similar suspension for less money. I feel like Toyota is charging extra for nostalgia, and that’s hurting the car.
I kind of feel the same. Side profile looks decent, but the front end has too many conflicting design elements, and the rear end could use some work as well...more body, and 3d tail lights maybe.
I’m replying to this comment to hopefully push it up higher. Overall I think the design is fairly successful, apparently unlike many others here, but the grille is just *too* big and blocky. It seems like Nissan is attached to it as a deliberate callback to previous versions but your design works much better for me.
Please don’t release it with that plain square grille Nissan... this took me 10 minutes, I’m sure it can be updated at this stage:
Alright we got to fucking talk about it cause this fucking ridiculous....
It’s a heavily facelifted 370z. As a former 350z owner (I really enjoyed it), the interior especially is basically identical, with limited updates suggesting a refresh rather than a new model.
That gaping maw tho.
That square ass grille is killing me. It looks so out of place alongside the rest of the car. I’m hoping they reshape it or at least make it smaller on the production car.
Redesigns don’t make us mad. It’s the cubic buttload of clickbait ads we have to wade through, and also seeing that one guy’s face for weeks at a time. I forgot his name, but unfortunately won’t forget that image that would never end.
yeah, blows me away how many people read the web solely on a phone. I need a bigger screen to read comfortably. Plus I have this site up when I am working. I am in IT and at a computer most of the day.
I updated mine to thedrive.com
So I wrote a rage post over at Oppo.
I was here in the early days, 2005 likely. Back then I was here and Leftlanenews and the fast lane daily on youtube. Ditched LLN many years ago, Fastlane got bought out and went to shit and is gone now I think, and Jalopnik, well I’m holding hope some turnover can get back to what made this place great.
hey just wanted to say i love you jason and also, subsequently, fuck the haters·
i updated my bookmark to jalopnik.com/latest
absolutely agree. Tesla is on my list of “cars to avoid”. Proudly sharing the space with FCA/Jeep and some other Peugeots...
I actually admire the ingenuity of the folks on the assembly line who came up with this. Tesla will get the quality details worked out eventually. Now will they accomplish this before the rest of the industry catches up with them on battery and range? That’s the question.
