I hope you know you can change personal server settings to increase taming and xp rates to make it not grindy, you can also move your character around xp and all on official servers. Also cross server raiding would never pan out.

From the research I did before settling on a 2DS, not being a PC/mobile gamer and having a PS4 are two good indicators for buying a Vita. Otherwise there are a ton of overlapping titles that make it less appealing that cross over much less with the Nintendo handhelds. Not to mention Nintendo’s unique library of games.
