Trendy sounds like an abysmal company to work for. Almost like putting the nails in your own coffin well ahead of time if you planned on making a career of the game design industry. Would have definitely walked away from that company with a contract like that.

DRM at it’s finest. I’ve been told no uPlay games have been consistently working. Really sucks that a game launch can bring an entire service including it’s umbrella of games to a crashing stop.

All the SkySaga feels. I feel them. Need to play it more.

I love that the minute you link to a concept store in Japan everyone is suddenly a business/political analyst regarding the ramifications of such a business idea.

Morally yes, legally no. But that’s humanity for you, we all have different ideologies.

I am a graphic designer but I am also a business man. The importance is understanding that this kind of thing isn’t black and white and knowing where that fine line is that artists can cross. When they’ve crossed the line and directly use assets by the artist that’s when there becomes an issue.

The difference being that they asked the original artist to work for them first, then made artwork stylized like theirs rather than just making art stylized like theirs?

Almost everything creative pays homage to something else. Darkest Dungeon has a very Hellboy artstyle to it. Dark Souls/Bloodborne borrowed a lot from Sorcery! and Berserk. Those are only two examples but there are many more.

It is good on them to do this. Taking profits from Smite to keep their less profitable game going is a pretty charitable. Also the way they’ve treated customers who bought gold is fantastic (free weapon pack + gold refunded + xp refunded). Really hoping this does revitalize the game and community, it’s definitely

Inflammatory post is inflammatory... and ignorant, but that’s a whole other story.

I see a lot of people saying they’re tired of the free-to-play model and then reference Hearthstone. Am I the only one that thinks “Huh, that’s a virtual card game with booster packs competing with Magic: The Gathering, why would their model be any different?”.

I don’t think you can really be mad at him. It’s not like he forced these people to go datamining. He just pulled their leg and delivered something relating to the 109 gag. You can’t fault him there.

I actually think it was Indie Game The Movie but other than both of these I don’t know of any other movies or shows.

Trove meets SkySaga? That’s the feel I get from it. The real question is how they’ll handle player interactions when it comes to building things.

Looks like a multiplayer Teleglitch. Not too bad sounding.

I think showing the aftereffects of such events would put out a much stronger and more important message.

I don’t think I need to explain why your response proves a point.

I suppose you’d also take him to a room with you and wait with the clock in the room with you and them and not evac the school.

Because it’s a part of all language, acronyms are used for a variety of reasons, understanding why is probably more important than openly wondering why. I think I can also safely say that proclaiming to a large internet community that you are too stubborn to look it up defeats the purpose of being too stubborn to look

Sounds like you just blamed yourself for being too stubborn to take the time to search for it and instead write out a paragraph as to why you won’t. I weep for humanity.
