I believe the most popular professional software is either platinum or gold listed under WineHQ so it should run near flawless on Linux using Wine.
Ubuntu is losing ground over other distros that are keeping to the KISS method including derivatives of it, namely Mint.

Morrowind didn't have voice acting for dialogue except for one or two rare times.
It's wonderful. I got mine on the cheap about 2 years ago and never regretted it.
A few years ago I found a handful of pretty good bands from Jamendo. I usually only download music that's not available on some sort of streaming service.
