But really, it's about destroying dated design models, improving level design, and improving AI design. Also, re-writing what a player is in these types of scenarios, and what is expected of you.

Not really relevant to the conversation, but I totally imagined you were talking about a hypothetical game with teddy bears as enemies until you started talking about RDR.
Wait, that's actually kind of great. That seems to be playing off of expectations and the way we are trained to justify misconceptions and immoral action.
You know what really irritated me the most about this? Burbank is a reporter on Television, which is ALSO something people waste their lives watching. I just pictured someone watching his report and going "My God, he's right!" and turning off their TV and going outside. Does he not realize many people also escape…
Oh right, I totally forgot I read about this guy awhile back:
Plus all the damn microtransactions.
Until they nerf the real world, im not going back. Shit out there is too OP
I was trying to ensure he got visitors. v.v
I want Nintendo to bring back the "expansion pack" idea. When people had to buy an expansion pack for a game, it added a load of new things to the game. Yes, the pricing on this was a bit steep, but you knew you were getting a new game and the first game was the base game. To me, this is a GREAT way to make a sequel…
Maybe so, but compare the simple techniques used in Halo, the characters, cutscenes, lore. Everything was better. It's like comparing a graduate student's literature assignment to a 5th grader's poem.
Even if stuff was cut, I don't think they've done a good job creating a coherent or enjoyable story. If they added stuff in as expansions, what I've seen of the "story" just isn't good. It feels like all the people that made the Halo campaigns left the building a long time ago.
If only it wasn't for the fact that you have to pay more to get more of the story. If the game had a complete story at launch, I feel like this could be excusable, but right now, no matter what they say, it just feels like they finished the game and cut it up into parts to sell as DLC. I'm so torn on this because I…
What a great argument.
this was my first buy DLC ever.
If Nintendo's take on DLC was the standard practice, no one would ever complain about DLC. :P
and the price is about right. Nintendo is the only company so far that I truly get exited for DLC
$13 for another 50% of game is an amazing deal. The characters and added karts are just icing on top of it.
The DLC hater.. that's usually me.
I hate map, quest, and item packs.. but man.. when Nintendo offers you an extra 4 cups.. (what is that, 50% more courses total?).. along with Link, and other cool characters.. Some extra karts for a tidy little sum.. I couldn't say no.
It's funny, I was just thinking this when I watched Gotham on Monday. I heard myself say, "How many times have I seen Bruce Wayne's parent get murdered?" Show wasn't terrible by the way.
"DARKNESS!...NO PARENTS!..."
