Comparing the price of a new conversion to a ten year old, sketchy as hell conversion? Good one. A non-janky conversion (ie, a BraunAbility) isn’t cheap, but probably a waaaay better idea than this. As a bonus, you would survive being t-boned in one of those.

Oh puhleeze. The E38/7 Series of that era was one of the handsomest sedans ever made.

“Mid-’90s BMWs in general, but in particular the E39, which was a fat, dumpy soap bar that only gets any positive attention at all because people didn’t like the Bangle era and wanted to convince themselves that there was some sort of “last true BMW.”

Honestly I think the E32, 38, and 39 are some of the most beautiful sedan shapes ever penned. Definitely the high water mark for BMW. Everything after that has been pure hot garbage. The last 2 generations of 3 and 5 series, forgettable and anonymous. The worst kind of design of them all.

I’ll second this. As basic as electric transportation gets, not at all attractive and an interior only a psychotic could love. Yet it’s average owner thinks they are driving a Bugatti with Toyota quality and Jaguar looks.

truck engine (I know its different, but is it really?)

Tesla Model 3. It has some weird halo effect despite being ugly and having a bargain basement interior... And that's before getting into the quality issues. It drives fine, it's fast, and electric... But since when does that get it a free pass when it also costs $50k?

Why all the hype?

Manual or no, that’s an insane price for year and mileage, even in today’s stupid car market. ND at $13.5, actual price should be about half that.

Man that one guy really is pissed about the new Z and won’t shut up about it lol

I can’t agree with the Ford Maverick as long as that base price stays low. But the line about the Charger being the “Florida of cars” is perfect.

Here. I’ll help everyone out....because I love you

Everyone is hyping it because Toyota co-developed their Supra with BMW and they like to use words like “lazy” and “not even a Toyota” and “if you’re so big, why can’t you just make your own damn car?” The reality is, it took 5 years to bring a “badge-engineered” car to market, and the result is so damn good that it’s

Not going to ding you like some other posters, but for most people we can’t get everything we want in a car and it is about compromises, usually our budget. This is just like what the manufacturers have to do and balance between designers demands, engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, accounting and so forth. How

That’s a good one. It should be an all new platform to get the weight down. It’s not terrible looking, but it’s also not great. It’s closer to a mid-cycle refresh than it is to a new model. They should have called it the 370z+, because all it is an improved 370z. Reskinned is a great word for it.

And it will weigh like 3800 lbs.

The taco and 4runner are to be found in the backcountry and get you there and back again and that really matters.

I scratched my head too. Between the Mach-E and F-150 Lightning that means that Ford is on track to sell about 50% of the EV volume in 2021 as Tesla did in 2020.

Ford sold almost 800,000 F-Series trucks last year in America, so 80,000 F-150 Lightnings is still a relative drop in the bucket, but you gotta start somewhere I guess.

The number of people who:
