I had a 2002 325CI with 225k miles on it about 10 years ago. People treated me like I was rich. It’s crazy what a badge will do.

The Hummer EV falls under the GMC brand.
Yes, I’ll agree, you’re right. You have to step up to the Raptors, TRXs, 3/4 and 1 ton trucks to really get into the $75k range. I do see several of those a day, but you’re right that that doesn’t exactly mean ‘swimming in them.’
Pickups are expensive. It doesn’t take much to configure them to be $75k+. People drop that sort of dough all the time on current EV offerings and current pickup offerings. It’s not a stretch that they will also drop that sort of dough on future EV pickup offerings.
Because, if I cannot go to a dealership, or log onto the internet and plunk down $75,000 for your electric truck, and either drive away with it or have it delivered in short order, you aren’t really mass-producing it.
That’s not at all what I said, and you know it.
1st: Tesla’s stock value is largely derived from the hype Musk has built around the brand. It’s important to their valuation to keep that hype going, so it’s in Teslas interest to allow Musk to keep Twitting.
JDM squash air freshener. There is no better smell for a vehicle.
Maybe don’t rear-end other people and you won’t have that problem.
Yes! I grew up playing with Tonka trucks. Big ass trucks are still cool to me. A Hummer H1 is one of my dream cars. There is this massive orange Ram 2500 around where I live and that thing is sweet.
Agreed. I should have just made mine a garage queen and stopped daily driving it. I also think about it every day. It was an incredible car and I’m glad I was able to experience it. I’ll always cherish the memories I have with it.
There is definitely some price compression going on with sports cars. There isn’t much sub-$30k, and then you have the twins, Miata, Mustang, Camaro, and 4cyl Supra all within 10k of each other. I recently drove a $36k Miata RF and a $42k Supra and it was night and day. The Miata didn’t come close and made the Supra…
False. E39 M5.

I try not to eat too much on the road these days. Eating leads to drinking, and drinking leads to having to stop for the restroom (my bladder isn’t what it used to be). When I do get hungry, I usually grab 2 hotdogs for $1 from Sheetz when I stop to refuel. Hot dogs are excellent road food. The bun is an ideal food…
That driver seat looks pretty beat for a $35k car. I have a hard time justifying $35k on a 10 year old car, but the maintenance on this is going to be pricey. As much as I like the AMG wagons, I couldn’t justify the purchase.
Very much this. I’d rather have 3-4 cars that totaled $120k than one $120k car.
2018. Water in the oil was the last straw on a history of expensive maintenance.
Yeah man, you missed the ball on your example. I’m not sure how else to possibly explain this to you. Good luck with your understanding of fundamental physics.
You’ve repeatedly stated, essentially, that having more mass does not mean that it requires more force to accelerate the heavier car.
I have proven I’m right. All anyone else has said is “durga durga power to weight,” in their caveman voice. You’ve offered nothing of substance to this conversation. There is a reason EVs can accelerate the way they do on narrower tires with harder compounds, that reason is weight.
