I've only seen the first two seasons, streaming on Netflix. So-so crime drama with gorgeous settings and Katee Sackhoff: so it gets a solid 2 out of 3 on the "worth watching" scorecard.

I was just about to post the same thing. 33 is just SO fucking good that it's hard to avoid thinking "that was ALMOST as good as 33" after watching later episodes.

Agreed. And I especially like the way his self-loathing and his loathing of everyone else in the universe (except maybe his wife and Adama) balance each other. I expect (and maybe hope?) to be just like him when I hit my mid-50s.

Gaius's "Th … th … wait a minute. [swallow] The defense mainframe?" remains one of my all-time favorite line readings.
