I was just about to post the same thing. 33 is just SO fucking good that it's hard to avoid thinking "that was ALMOST as good as 33" after watching later episodes.

Agreed. And I especially like the way his self-loathing and his loathing of everyone else in the universe (except maybe his wife and Adama) balance each other. I expect (and maybe hope?) to be just like him when I hit my mid-50s.
