She is so right. I really have been laboring over that question with every fellow white person I run into: did you vote for Trump?

I’m having a tough time with this, too.
I rationally understand that most of the people who voted for Trump are not racists in the sense that they attend Klan rallies and look for active opportunities to persecute people of color. They voted the way they did for a mix of reasons. I understand the mentality of many…
If anything, this election has proven that facts and reality have no bearing on our world.
What about people who are saying “this wouldn’t have happened if Hillary hadn’t stolen the primary from Bernie?” Because I’m seeing a ton of that on my FB feed and it’s making me CRAZY. Also, smug people who are like “Don’t blame me...I didn’t vote?”
I deleted today too. Fortunately the number of Trump supporters among my acquaintances was small. I don’t have any suggestions for you. I kind of understand where people are coming from - trying to encourage a coming together. But I don’t see how I can live with myself if I open my arms in any way shape or form to…
Agreed. Also... These people won’t listen to reason. Or facts. So I don’t feel like I can keep trying on an individual level.
I deleted my Facebook account today.
Thank you for the open thread and the amazing coverage.
And yet she still curbstomped Bernie by nearly 4 million votes in the primary, so.
But much of the criticism wasn’t fact-based, that’s the point. Most of it was wildly overblown or just plain bullshit.
I’m not a Berner but he REALLY tried. I really can’t understand HOW you could be all for his campaign, then look at HRC’s only slightly different campaign and say “NOPE!”
Yes, total agreement. I follow Sanders on Twitter and he campaigned *hard* for Clinton. He came out over and over disavowing the conspiracy theories, and saying we HAD to prevent a Trump presidency; that if you believed in his vision and in him, vote Clinton. Maybe he could have pivoted sooner in the primaries, but…
Seriously. All the people on my Facebook feed who were posting vile, hateful things about Hillary, or insisting she’s just as bad as Trump and there’s no point in even voting at all, are now wondering how this happened, and I’m like, ARE YOU SERIOUS? DO YOU HAVE MEMORY PROBLEMS? All y’all who were hating on Hillary or…
Lol I wish. Bernie supporters were out in full force last night (on my Facebook feed, at least) blaming Trump winning on the DNC not nominating Bernie and ~rigging the primaries~ against Bernie. It would not surprise me if Bernie Sanders himself felt the same way.
I want Bernie voted out of office at this point. I’m so sick of him and his cult- I don’t even feel represented by him. It’s all about his cult.
Bernie Sanders owes the world an apology today. Not for running, which is anyone’s right, but for not stopping the irrational hate and conspiracy theories earlier on and for insisting on fighting to the convention even after it was clear he had lost. I hope he will never forgive himself for what he has done.
Omg, yes fuck you Susan Sarandon. I hope you enjoy clinging to your ideological purity while Trump guts this country and drags us back to 1851 or whenever he believes America was great before.
AND FUCK YOU to all of the Bernie supporters who started the cycle of Hillary hate, revved it up, warmed up that engine and then passed it right on to Trump.Fuck you for that. This means you “The Slot.” Your dumb ass is guilty as charged.
Do I believe they called him “Diaper Don?”
You’d think it would be the opposite since personally I think strapless looks better on the small chested. Either way, I’m glad the trend is dying since it’s only flattering on about 5% of women, and it’s mostly just done by fashion houses because strapless involves less work and less tailoring than making dresses…
