Yeah, the Right Stuf story isn’t going to get a lot of press outside the anime world but Sony having a de facto monopoly on everything anime in North America is not good news. Pity the damn American government gutted the FTC.

I think you mean he is an untreated hernia.

Somehow, I just can’t see/hear Selena Gomez saying, “I have a head for business and a bod for sin.”

Meh. That’s mysteries for you. If it weren’t for improbable coincidences fictional mysteries would never get solved. I’ve been watching this mini-series Departure on Canadian TV (I don’t know if it airs in the States). In the first episode, after the train crash, the lead NTSB inspector steps out of her motel room for

But, but, they’re carrying different guns! (Activision lawyer, probably).

And a well-deserved O.B.E. (as opposed to some of the prats I could mention ...)

Thanks for that. A little piece of my British heritage I was previously unaware of.

Vikander was also great in The Man from U.N.C.L.E. The movie had a couple of problems, the casting of the leads and not mentioning the organization until the very end, but by and large it was very good, and she was a large part of it.

And dungeons. Don’t forget the dungeons.

That’s okay. My ‘Cap’ is Carol Danvers.

You’re being too general. The examples you use all seem to fall under the category of ‘American Evangelical Christian’. They’re Christian in name only. I doubt most, if not all, of them have ever cracked the spine on a copy of the New Testament. They’re certainly not interested in the messages contained therein.

Welcome to Imperialism. The Brits did it, the French did it, the Germans did it, the Dutch did it. Since the British Empire was the largest the world has ever seen, they had the opportunity to do the most damage. That doesn’t excuse the last 150 years or so of American Imperialism; they should have known better.

Well that’s fine, we’re a gracious and polite country, but you’re gonna hafta leave your guns behind, okay? Thank you kindly.

It was also used in the first episode; I don’t know how they missed that. Oh wait, I do. AVClub reviewer.

Gee, you’d think someone on this site would remember Peter Thiel.

He’s just plain good. It’s disgusting. He wrote a play about a heart surgeon called Sprung Rhythm when he was 23! I saw it at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa, and it was brilliant. And his Hamlet! I saw that at Stratford. He killed it, of course.

I fell for her in Dead Again, three years before Much Ado. And she’s one of the Emmas my cat is named for. (The others being Samms and Watson. So many hot Emmas.)

Thank you for reminding me why I hate Paul Gross. No one should be that tall, that good-looking, be able to sing, play guitar, write, direct, act, and produce! It’s just not fair!

I was going to say D.I.A.F.
