To be fair, he wasn’t really in Best Defence. When the studio first test-screened it, it bombed terribly. So they managed to sign Murphy and shoot 10 or 15 minutes of unrelated footage that they tacked on to the end of the movie. Then they marketed it with Murphy’s name on the marquee, hoping to trick enough people…
I was just slightly disappointed with Skyfall because Bond had an obvious mission and he failed; M died at the end. And honestly, I’m not sure when she got shot, but she was bleeding when she entered the tunnel, and managed to make it to the church. That suggests she was injured that seriously.
Lois Maxwell also voiced Atlanta Shore in the puppet series Stingray and you can see how they made the puppet in her image.
Has no one else read Gibson’s Agency yet? It’s set in an alt-history 2018, where Hilary won, and one of the plot devices is “Uber, but for tailing people”. I wonder how many VCs have been approached with the concept?
Welcome to “Disneyland with the Death Penalty”.
She’s done it in the comics: https://screenrant.com/batwoman-just-went-rogue/
Bingo! In a couple of weeks supply will outstrip demand, and the stores will be full of TP that nobody wants. You’ll be able to stock up for pennies on the dollar.
All that, and you didn’t say zaibatsu once?

Unfortunately, there’s no class for ‘pretty, but mind-numbingly boring’.
With a heavy dose of Diamond Crevasse too. Thank you.
My favorite role of his is Benny Cooperman, the private detective. The book series is by a Toronto author, Howard Engel, and they’re set in the fictional town of Grantham, Ontario, which is a stand-in for St. Catherines, Ontario.
I loved him in that! All those crazy sweaters! It was, “What would happen if yuppies took over the CIA.”
My sister calls those UAVs, Urban Assault Vehicles.
Nope. You fold down the second row. Cargo area separates the parents from the screaming kids. Perfect setup.
My family loved the Scirocco. First, Mom bought a grey Wolfsberg edition. Then Dad bought a used, light-blue base model. Then he found a cheap spare to cannibalize for parts. There were Sciroccos in the family for the better part of 20 years.
I think he was so much better in this than DS:9. Even after he grew back the goatee he was never as intimidating as he was as Hawk.
Pauline Kael eviscerated Ryan’s Daughter at a panel in front of David Lean in 1971. She said something about it being too much of an epic, which was what David Lean made. Lean said something like, “I suppose you won’t be satisfied unless I make something with a single 16mm black and white camera”, and Pauline Kael…
Meanwhile, James Bond can drive whatever he wants:
