We are better served right now by EVs being expensive and capable rather than cheap and limited. If people want a cheaper EV they can buy a second hand Tesla.

I wouldn’t do what he did, but he didn’t actually hurt anybody.  He sucks hard, but that makes it more important to be honest about the situation.

The giant tablet haphazardly slapped onto the dash is the biggest intersection between "things manufacturers think look expensive" and "things a poor person would do to act rich" in recent memory. 

Because these are not issues of direct rip-offs, but of aesthetics. The kit hoods take styling queues from the FXX, but they do not come close to being direct copies.

People really need to incentivize this behavior by accepting the apologies when they are sincere as well.

Not sure I see a need to make this a bigger deal than it has already become. They put out a bad joke, got called out, then made what seems like a honest and open apology that appears sincere.

The whole thing seems preposterous to me. Here in Germany there are three common grades of fuel available: 95 E10, 95 E5, and 98 E5. (There are some others, 100/102 at Shell or Aral, but I digress.)
