I love them.
I love them.
I’m convinced that Obama and Biden are besties. Apparently Obama offered Biden money when Beau was battling cancer because Joe was considering selling their DE house to help cover costs. And their candid pictures together are super adorable.
Like how we did after 2008. The Obama v Clinton primary wasn’t tame. Clinton repeatedly said Obama lacked the experience to lead—cautioned us that it would be that guy answering the phone at 3 AM when the nation is in crisis. Said she was sticking around in the primaries, just in case someone gets assassinated.
I’m only half joking when I say that Joe Biden should just be named Democratic VP for life. He’s perfectly suited for the job.
You don't experience a 30-year political career without "selling out" every once in a while. In some circles, it's referred to as "compromising."
I think Vermonters, especially, would prefer that he stayed right where he is than to accept an offer of VP.
This is the best bromance ever.
People always talk about how much they want a multi-party system, this would be the best example of how that actually works. Our political parties are not monolithic, they are broad coalitions, though the Democratic party is a looser one. But, anyway, this is how multiparty systems work—your political enemy one day is…
I still prefer him for president over Clinton, but I can’t see her picking him as her running mate. Making him secretary of labor, on the other hand ...
Or possibly Kim Davis? Gurl got FIRE.
THANK YOU YES. It’s like people forget that there are TWO WHOLE OTHER BRANCHES OF THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT that we have to be worried about. We don’t want to thin the ranks in the senate, for chrissakes.
She should not consider anyone in the Senate. We need each democratic senator we have in there to stick around and hold the ground we have. Isn’t there a good natured Governor from somewhere who she can ask?
I feel like Booker has been gearing up for this since before 2012 even, certainly Castro has.
Wholeheartedly agree. Warren is needed where she’s at to kick ass and chew bubblegum.
Is this really a good idea, though? I mean, a woman POTUS and VP? Won’t their cycles sync up and wreak havoc on the White House plumbing?
Nope nope nope nope nope NOOOOOPE PLEASE everyone stop saying that Warren should be the running mate. She can do SO MUCH MORE GOOD where she is right now than she ever could possibly do as VP.
It’d be great if all parties involved would just suck it up and offer the veep position to Bernie. Not only would it be a massive gut-blow to the Republican ticket, Hillary and Bernie would balance each other out well - despite their recent campaign-trail animosities there does seem to be more than a bit of mutual…
To be honest I don’t know if Warren would accept the nomination if she was asked, I think when she eventually runs with the intent of being in the White House she will go straight for (and win) the Presidency. That being said, I would love to see them on a ticket together.
