For you to have personal knowledge about negative press about the transistor, as introduced to the world at Bell Labs at the end of 1947, you’d be around 100 years old.

your comment reads like an ideological tinted rant

Number 2 looks like someone tried to fit a mustang kit on a 4 door.

There’s a full pic of it sans owner... At the top. They did whole galleries of these the pic in the story is the one the author pulled.

I see the new ‘Integra’ is going back to its roots of heavy cosmetic modification with minimal engine mods. Just like the good old days.

Number 1 all the way. 3 automatically loses because of the tool blocking the view of his work

The decision to go with an LS came down, in large part, to electronics. The CANBUS systems on Mercedes engines are not super easy to get working to the degree that Icon requires. Even outfits like Mechatronik have to cobble together their systems and use all kinds of workarounds.

Would a Mercedes engine have been cool?

As well as having to wait hours to pump hot cool and lubricant through the engine to unfreeze it as in a real F1 car.

It is on Mercedes to build a car that meets regulations in USA market.

shmee is such a twat. cant stand that dude. i wish he didnt get access to so many cool vehicles. but thats not gonna make me watch his videos.

Inclined to agree lol. I’ve recently been watching the Harry’s Garage episodes where he interviews Gordon Murray about the T.33 and T.50, and what amazes me is how those cars are designed primarily to be usable, practical, reliable, and efficient. There’s no gimmicks or fluff to them, yet they’re still faster than

misleading headline or what?

I don’t think this will ground the already certificated MAX 8 and 9. It only applies to the yet to be finished 7 and 10. They were never going to go back and retrofit the existing aircraft.

Rivian made you realize building cars is hard? Have you ever seen how many recalls GM issues? Do you remember 2014 GM when they recalled 25 million vehicles across 50+ different recall issues? Sure not all of them were safety critical items, but a bunch of them were.

Nobody will see this because Kinja is a terribly designed platfom that basically rewards earlier replies, but:

Won’t somebody please think of the children??

While I agree that making cars at scale is hard, I’d argue Rivian handled this pretty well.

Jalopnik: “I wish car makers took more risks. Every car is a boring, gray CUV.”

Here is it with Dodge doing their “Last Call” special edition Chargers and Challengers, and they absolutely waste one of the seven LCs on a Swinger edition:
