The Soarer is the name for this car under Toyota. In the U.S. it was badged under the Lexus brand and sold as the SC400 with a 1UZFE V8 engine. The SC400 only came automatic. The other was the SC300 which had the I6 2JZ-GE engine which could be had with a automatic transmission or a now rare 5 speed manual.

I’m a long time Toyota fan and I just have to say how happy I am they kept the body on frame solid axle rear combination going. I can’t tell you how surprised people are when I tell them my Lexus is more truck than their unibody SUV and they look under it.

I did the same with the E46 M3, Z33, and S2000 AP1. I had previously owned a tastefully done Z32 but was turned off by the heavy feel and plastic. I chose the S2000 and never looked back. I still miss that car.

Dare I say you have wrangler off-roaders then you have everyone else. Toyota has a very rich and successful history of off road vehicles. Take for instance the FJ 40, Landcruiser, 4runner, Hilux, Tacoma, Tundra, and Prado. Not to mention the US market vehicles like the GX470 which I frequently off road and I don’t

I live in Vinings right where the C-130’s do a low altitude turn to line up with the runway. I have been in the base a few times for air show’s and even to bowl. I love the sound of the planes landing and find it a shame that some would love to see it closed down or even worse become a commercial airport.
