Golfing lobby in particular, and sporting lobby in general. Give people that bit of daylight at the end of the day to go and do something they wouldn’t do if it was dark.

Interesting perspective. I think of it more as ‘stand your ground’ against idiots. Some examples of my triggers: anti-vaxers, rabid, vapid mumsnet’ers, ancient grains, semiautomatic guns in private hands, homeopathy, climate change denial, health care in america. I could go on.

Ah sweet triggers! which when set off, cause ranting and raving, and result in grownups in tears. I can’t let it go - no matter how hard i try. I will reason, and provide counter argument, until the person is in tears. Damn logic! why doesn’t everyone use it!

Tickling is basically a form of torture without leaving physically scarring. Any child asking to be tickled, is essentially saying they’re desperate for any kind of physical contact. Try hugging your kid one day. Or playing with them. 

Someone should do a study about intellectual humility and gender. You know: just for kicks.

I’ve heard the same thing said of the boardroom...

“but acknowledging systemic issues is the first step to changing them” .. you don’t mention the elephant in the room: that 80% of elementary school teachers are woman. Maybe if schools were forced to maintain gender parity among teaching staff, this wouldn’t be an issue.
