Vestigial doesn’t mean totally useless. It just means that it has a different or reduced function from that which it derived.

In a much warmer climate, as I have in Thailand, you will have geckos galore and virtually no cockroaches. All you need to do is clean up the little gecko poos. 

I always get a kick out of claiming that Obama was “anti-colonialist.” As if that wasn’t the very essence and foundation of the American Revolution.
