They don’t forget that they’re people. They don’t care.  An important distinction.

Sociopath: a person with a personality disorder manifesting itself in extreme antisocial attitudes and behavior and a lack of conscience.

I fully expected to click on this article and say “it isn’t so bad...” BUT WTF.

“unencumbered by emotion” = sociopath.  That’s not an admirable quality and nobody should make excuses for it.  The place sounds like a cult or prison yard...I guess, in a way, they’re both the same thing.
