You sure you’re not in a spot with a necromancer? Just dealt with the same thing in one of the caves...couldn’t kill the skeleton, then went around the corner and found a necromancer keeping them alive.

Yeah, you don’t want to speculate on stuff like that, but, to speculate, I’d say either bad health issue or bad behavior.
