I don’t like the China fear-mongering that occurs on these boards, but you better hope it is primarily Microsoft. The Chinese government has stopped Tencent from making games before, and next time it may have more longer-lasting impact (ie Tencent gives up on the video game market and the industry goes belly up).

I’m sure there are grosser things than doing a play-by-play analysis of sibling’s interaction at their grandfather’s funeral, but I’m struggling to come up with an example right now.

Yea, I don’t have Disney Now credentials but I have SlingTV for the NBA season, so I was able to record every episode, I’m just happy I won't have to fast forward and deal with meltdowns when an episode block ends

But you can just wait 3 months.

I don't know who the guy in the comments section you were referring to, but Bluey is literally the only good kids show, and while it teaches lessons, it isn't educational.

I prioritize side quests, so I didn’t advance the story too far the last couple of days. I just got to the big desert valley.

Nope, it isn’t the equivalent and you can’t articulate why it isn’t a message other than the fact that you don’t like how it is told. You are well within your rights to not like something, but it is patently ridiculous to act as gate-keeper as to what qualifies as artistic expression or not.

I never said there was a counterbalance or conversation (although, it is definitely in conversation with other post- apocalyptic sci-fi media). I also said it doesn’t have nuance, and you can say it is ham-fisted, but you can’t say it doesn’t have a message.

There is an exploration of that as it shows every human always being the biggest selfish asshole during times of existential crisis. While it may not be nuanced it definitely rings true after this past year.

They definitely have way more NPCs of color.

The game's entire message is that of a nihilistic, "humanity fucking sucks!" They aren't interested in making any of the characters (save the members of your team) interesting.

The packaging was quite impressive to me when I got mine last month. It took a week of solid effort to procure mine (and buy the stupid bundle from Gamestop).

Right, I was able to turn off the feature last month, so maybe they stealthily made this change a while ago.

I got my PS5 last month and was able to shut it off.

When I got my PS5 it would turn on whenever I turned on my TV. This was thoroughly obnoxious and I turned it off once I figured out it was a setting I could shut off.

That's what I've been playing as, it is a lot like Vanguard from Mass Effect.

This is who you are looking for:

“This game should never have been so reliant on servers in the first place, and everything players are going through right now is a consequence of that fundamental decision. It sucks!”

Lolololol, you were too scared to engage with me that you refuted my points to another person? I highly doubt I have a reputation anywhere around these parts but I’m sorry if I “abused” you so badly that you not only remember me but also want to besmirch me to another account.

I think you vastly underestimate how much money Epic has and how precarious a position Sony has been in as of late. But, if they are losing ground with Fortnite and Unreal then it makes even more sense to take the losses while you can to diversify.
