I really hate the "the books have been out for over a decade" argument. The books are great, but they never caught on like wildfire (pun intended) in the mainstream media like Harry Potter (before the movies) nor were they regarded as pillars of the genre like Lord of the Rings.

Benioff and Weiss have always said the show is an adaptation of the entire A Song of Ice and Fire series, each season is not meant to correspond to one book (as we're seeing now). If a character they kill off has relevance later, it'll be adapted in another way.

I'm assuming you excluded KOTOR because its greatness is already well-known.

The first two Spider-Man games were good. The game for SM1, though linear with stages, at least had good replay value with a lot of extras to unlock (including playing as the Green Goblin). SM2 was really fun since it was an open world superhero game (I think it was the first?). Both also featured other villains.

Both better be on PC. What I loved about the series was the settings and to see the architecture. It was one reason why I had little interest in AC3 (skipping it seems to have been a good choice). I'm excited for one set in Paris.
