I think they are nice in a nostalgic way. They remind me of old sitcoms like Bewitched. They are not how I would decorate my place but they make me smile.

Okay, I’m from the seventies and none of that is actually how anything looked. Really. It was all earth tones, walnut furniture, some day-glo here and there, and lots of panneling. And shag carpeting. I shit you not, my old room at my parents’ house still has the shag carpeting I picked out in 1973.

From the Little House on the Prairie collection.

The reason these still have appeal is because they are VERY well done. That’s design. I love them. And that lino would make a great template for tile. But I don’t want to LIVE with any of them. Would bang.

I kinda of love that pink kitchen.

I've always wanted a wood burning fire exactly at eye level as I eat. It adds a certain excitement to the meal when you have to dart flaming ashes flying into your eyes.

Just felt like sharing.

....I....kinda like the one with the green chairs? Sorry!

Soo...all my mason jars full of twinkle lights, wine cork crafts, and kitschy cat themed everything are going to be a laughingstock one day.

The seating in that top picture looks horrendously uncomfortable, but the nook with the stove seems quite cozy. Also, the pink and green kitchen is kind of awesome.

This was how all the sitcom families homes looked and the reason I thought white folk had strange taste in everything.
